• Intent: This course is a deep dive into precision rifle fire well beyond 1000 yards. We will cover ballistics, solvers, wind calling, self-spotting, positional work, target detection techniques and more. Each subject is broken down into easily understandable and digestible chunks in a progressive fashion. Whether you are a competitor, long-range hunter, or just want to have fun, you will learn how to use your bolt gun and push yourself to the limits of your performance.
Equipment Needed:
o Precision rifle in caliber of your choice: 6.5 Creedmoor, 7PRC, etc.
o Magnified optic (recommend mil/mil)
o 2-point, quick-adjust sling
o 1000 rounds match ammo with magazines
o Bipod
o Tripod: RRS TFCT34L, Leofoto 404, etc.
o Tripod Rifle Mount: i.e. Arca style (Anvil 30, Leofoto 40X) and/or Tac Table style
o Support bag (recommend Gamechanger Schmedium Waxed – heavy fill)
o Rear Bag (recommend Gamechanger Pint-Size Waxed – Spexlite Fill)
o Laser Range Finder (recommend weapon-mounted or bino style, but any will work)
o Spotting Scope or Binoculars (min 8-10x)
o Gunbelt or chest rig with at least 1 rifle mag pouch
o Eye & Ear Pro, Food/water, weather appropriate clothing, kneepads
o Backpack: big enough to hold your equipment for the day
o Clip on night vision/thermal system (optional, but if you bring them, we’ll use them)
