New targets are available! Designed especially for SPR/DMR use, but work great for pistol, carbine, NODs & lasers.
Introducing the new Grey Sky Training target. I drew a concept sketch of these up, and Alex at Axle Targets did the rest. Having designed targets before and gone through another company, it was refreshing to actually have someone not just call you back immediately, but also refine proofs quickly until you are happy. Kudus to Alex, and please check him out for custom target needs.
Does the world need another target design? I know I did. I find most other targets lacking in features, overcomplicated, or poorly designed. “White on white” with black lines is unusable at distance in lowlight.
Target features:
- Uncluttered and high contrast white on black: Critical for NODs use and distance work
- 3″ circles = CNS zones, zero confirm process, NPA drills, reload drills
- These are equidistant from the center aiming point, so if your reticle/laser is blooming or larger than the center bull, you can still reference your elevation
- B8 Scoring
- IPSC C-Zone with head box – combine these with the 8-ring for going fast
- Diamond aiming points for refined aiming/zero with reticles and target focus with RDS
- A 1 mil grid pattern covers the target for optic and laser corrections
- These work out perfectly as 1 mil at 100 yards, but can be used at any range.
- e., If you slap them up at 500 yards on a KD range, each square equals .2 mils.
- For Laser zero (PEQ, LA5, NGAL, etc.): at 50 yards 10 clicks per grid; at 100 yards: 5 clicks per grid
- There is a mini “tall-target drill” built in: If you aim at the diamond at the bottom of the target and hold/dial 8 mils, your rounds should impact the star in the logo.
Range conversions – each square equals:
- 25 yards = 4 mils (14 MOA)
- 50 yards = 2 mils (7 MOA)
- 100 yards = 1 mil (3.5 MOA)
- 200 yards = .5 mil
- 500 yards = .2 mils
- 1000 yards = .1 mils
